Protection and treatment of leather shoes

In our stores we don't sell any more products to treat and protect leather shoes and bags against stains and wear. Nevertheless it is often recommended that leather and suede are treated. Some rules:

Water resistance spray and / or stain stop: for both leather and suede is always advisable, unless you go for a real vintage look. In specialist stores you van find various suitable products. Use such spray before wearing the shoes (before there are stains or dirt). Please read the instructions carefully because these sprays are just not healthy.

Leather greasing: We advise you consult a shoemaker or a specialist, because there are many different products for all types of leather. In principle leather must only be treated when it feels dry and looks dull. A colorless wax or cream is usually the safest choice for smooth leather and makes the shoes more water resistant.

Daim: Any cream or wax is not recommended. In the market you can get different types of brushes and erasers to clean suede and remove stains. After a thorough cleansing, you can simply treat daim again with a water resistant spray and / or stain stop.
